1. Cleaning agent: As a cleaning agent in the metal parts and electronic components cleaning market is developing rapidly, mainly used in color TV, refrigerators, automobiles, air conditioners, precision machinery and microelectronics industries, used to clean metal parts, electronic components, etc.

2. Chemical intermediates: At present, as chemical intermediates consumption, domestic industrialized production of trichloroethylene downstream products include tetrachloroethylene, hexachloroethane, dichloroacetyl chloride, octachlorodipropyl ether, HFC-134a, etc., mainly by the pull of HFC-134a production. Due to the rapid industrialization of HFC-134a production in China, the proportion of trichloroethylene in the composition of consumption as a chemical intermediate has been greatly increased.

As a solvent and extractant, its consumption accounts for about 15% of the total consumption and is mainly used in the production of caprolactam, pesticides and pharmaceuticals. Trichloroethylene is used as a solvent for pesticides such as trichlorfon and leucovorin, which are the best-selling pesticides in China.

Trichloroethylene is used as a refined extractant for pharmaceutical intermediates - methoxydiphthalate, which has also seen a large growth in recent years. Other consumption areas of trichloroethylene in China include bulking agents, unsaturated resin coatings, which account for about 5%; dry cleaning agents and freezing agents, which account for about 10%.
